Retractable Helicopter canopy, fully wind loaded to provide full cover and working environment for an EC135.
Forword end of hanger is fed into a track system on the superstructure around the ships hanger door.
Marine components such as luff and main sheet tracks and mainsail batten cars were used for their adaptability, proven strength properties and ability to withstand the marine environment.
Titan
Two aft Canopies have been fitted to Titan.
Due their proximity to the exhaust stack, JPProductions advised against the more traditional canvas products due to cleaning issues of this type of material and its minimal stability under wind load.
The alternative was a polyester based PVC. This is an exceptionally stable and durable material and due to gloss top surface, very easily cleaned. Its appearence is crisp and modern, well suited to the Superyacht. [It is also highly translucent Anti UV and Anti Fungal]
This example has been laced and tensioned using 8mm spectra to increase stability.
Three retractable bimini's have been developed and installed. All three are electrically deployed and stowed and are housed flush with the superstructure.
