HOK Sport and JP Productions at the Races
Her Majesty the Queen was to open the New Grandstand and Races at The New Royal Ascot from the Winners Podium. HOK Sport approached JP Productions to produce a design and build solution for this crucial element of the new racecourse.Set in the middle of the parade ring the structure had to complement the modern and elegant lines of the new grandstand. A clear fabric was essential for all round viewing and demountable system, as the parade ring was to be used for theatre and opera.
JP Productions used aluminum cantilever booms set in sockets below ground, clear marine fabric and a stainless steel compression strut system to create this futuristic yet graceful tensile canopy and signage.

Cock o Barton Bar Restaurant
Three hypar canopies in the courtyard of the Cock o Barton Bar Restaurant Barton Cheshire. Two higher level canopies drain onto the lower central canopy which in turn drains into a water feature in the courtyard.
The fabric structures keep the weather off the alfresco dining and a dramatic feature to the courtyard.
A central slip cable runs the length of the canopy, creating a valley which results in effective drainage from one to another.
